[edit] Parent categories
A check of the history of this category shows there's been a few rounds of adding, deleting then re-adding some parent categories. IMO there is a need to have this category parented to both Category:Pre-Hispanic cultures of Mexico and Category:Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, and not just one or the other. There are parts of 'Mexico' which are not included in the definition of 'Mesoamerica', and similarly 'Mesoamerica' includes other regions which are not in 'Mexico'. The Aztec civilization is of significance to both approaches, and one is not a "redundant supercat" of the other.
The other current parent category Category:Former countries seems not to be an appropriate one. Apart from stretching the meaning of the word 'country', this cat:Aztec is really for a wider range of articles than just those which might possibly correspond to some former state. If there are no objections, it should be removed.--cjllw | TALK 07:27, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- I have no objections on this issue. --Siva1979Talk to me 15:54, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
OK, I've now removed it from cat:Former countries.--cjllw | TALK 23:03, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
