Basketball club Azovmash Mariupol was founed in early 1950s in the city of Mariupol in South-Eastern Ukraine. It now takes part in 3 competitions: Ukrainian Basketball Super League, Ukrainian Cup and the FIBA cup, and is one of the strongest teams in Ukraine along with BK Kyiv and Cherkasky Mavpi, Cherkasy.

Now its main coatch is Rimas Girskis.
