Azfar-ul-Ashfaque is an investigative journalist associated with the the Pakistan's largest circulated English language daily The News in Pakistan. Born in Karachi, the commercial capital of Pakistan, he has written various investigative articles on criminal justice system in Pakistan. He also writes on the issues of al-Qaeda, Taliban, militant outfits in Pakistan, transport, and law enforcement agencies. He started his career from a wire service, Pakistan Press International (PPI) and later joined the newspaper in 2002.
