[edit] South Park Reference?

I just saw the Ayds commercial for the first time, and came upon this Wikipedia article (started in february 2006) in my search for whether or not it was real. It clicked that there is a South Park episode where a similar pun is used. In that episode, Subway's "Jared" promotes the use of "aides" (i.e. assistants) to help in weight loss. Given the use by South Park's creators to parody existing material, it seems likely that this episode was inspired by the Ayds commercial. that unfortunately is terrible!! why not edit it to "however" or something!?

I've always read that the active ingredient in Ayds was benzocaine, presumably to lessen your sense of taste to reduce eating. I've never heard that they contained phenylpropanolamine, a stimulant now banned in the US. --Bk0 (Talk) 18:01, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

The box I have here (The one that says "Appetite Suppressant") says "Active Ingredient - 5.5 mg of Benzocaine"--The Lone Bard 22:13, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
