I think the way the article was presented, it failed WP:WEB. If someone thinks the aXXo (whatever that is) is notable and can find sources to reference and verify the content, th proper policy is to bring it up here, and/or bring the article through a Deletion Review. - Wikipedia is not a forum for unregulated free speech, a request has repeatedly been made for some evidence of notability. The fact that this talk page is full of "dude, you guys suck Axxo rulz!" instead of the requested evidence is telling. [edit] many other illegal things on wikipedia
I believe the axxo page should be restored. Many people want to know what axxo means even if it is illegal to download Copyrighted Movies in the the US it is not always used for Copyrighted Materials and there is ALOT of pages about much worse things on wikipedia such as Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin, Opium just to name a few —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dan102001 (talk • contribs) 20:21, 21 March 2007 (UTC).
- uh, it's not because of any legality issues.. it's because there isn't enough published information available to make an accurate encyclopedic article and the subject can not be notable or attributable. The one "interview" that has appeared is not enough. Personally, I always thought term "aXXo" referred not to a single person but a group of people. Also, I think a lot of people are now labeling their torrents with the term "aXXo" as it has become synonymous with high quality, according to the urban dictionary [2]. This page should simply redirect to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_warez_groups and a line item in the list for axxo should be included. While this might cause some discussion regarding the fact that axxo is actually a re-encoder of existing pirated material and not an original creator of same from a 'legitimate' source, it would allow people seeking information to find it without dedicating an actual entry to a group with very little attributable content. 71.245.237.93 06:11, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
