Axle Whitehead (born 16 December 1980 in Melbourne, Australia) was a participant of the Kool Skools program[citation needed] who went on to become a contestant on the first series of Australian Idol in 2003, and a host of video music show Video Hits on Network Ten from 2004 to November 1, 2006.

Network Ten announced on 2 November 2006 that Whitehead resigned as host of Video Hits on November 1, 2006 after he exposed his genitals on stage at the 2006 Aria Awards[1].

The Daily Telegraph had reported that Whitehead and his long time girlfriend Katrina Peden had broken up days before the ARIA incident[2].

On 8 March 2007, it was reported in the Herald Sun that in an interview with Whitehead, he will make his return to the public spotlight by being the host of the Budgie Smuggler Competition. He also indicated that he is busy working on a solo album and hopes to delve into the world of acting[3].
