Axel Zwingenberger

Axel Zwingenberger(born May 7, 1955 in Hamburg) is a German blues and boogie-woogie pianist.

He began with study of classical piano, but began playing blues by the 1970s. In 1975 he received his first recording contract. He has gone on to work with greats in the genre like Big Joe Turner, and also tours.

He is also known for his photographs of steam locomotives, including some taken from within the machinery itself.
