[edit] Mediation @ the John Bowlby article

Hi there! I have taken the mediation case listed here. I have replied on the article's talk page, so if you could reply there with your perspective on this issue that would be great! Hopefully we can work things out. Cheers, Brisvegas 07:41, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not show bad faith

When you moved the RfPP section back up, you removed my comment attached to your request that I be blocked. I have difficulty assuming that it was an inadvertent act. Please make sure that you do not blank or remove comments left by other users, as such actions are neither permitted on Wikipedia nor conducive to good faith discussion. FCYTravis 19:51, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

There was a lot to copy and it was a mistake. As an administrator, I'd assume you'd take the Wikipedia "Assume Good Faith" posture even more to heart and try to set an example. Dr. Becker-Weidman Talk 20:35, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
You've requested that I be blocked for the grand crime of disagreeing with you on an article. I suggest that such inflammatory comments from you make it impossible for me to assume good faith is present in any of your actions. FCYTravis 22:59, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

You are the only one who started and continued the "edit war." You have not acted in a manner consistent with your status as an administrator. You have side-stepped and refuse to participate in mediation; you engage in refusal to assume good faith, and you have misused your administrative rights. [edit] Attachment Therapy

Thanks for your message. I would be interested in introducing some clarity into the position. I was only reading around attachment because a colleague is doing a PHD in adult attachment. As an outside reader I was struck by the defensive attitude and consequent lack of focus of the AT page. It makes the antennae tingle! AT is obviously a fringe thing, but still quite an important one I think given what these people are capable of doing. The Wikipedia article ought to give enough information so that people come away with a clear idea of exactly what it is and what it is not. At the moment, the main focus of the article seems to be to protect DDP. Surely unnecessary? Hughes makes it very clear that he has developed his therapy away from any previous notions of coercion. At the moment I am working my way through the list of therapies on the ACT page that they say are AT 'by another name'. Does this seem a sensible approach?Fainites 21:11, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
