Avram C. Freedberg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Avram C. Freedberg is the CEO of National Collector's Mint, BioLogic Solutions and Maximum Entertainment Productions.

Early in his career he worked for Dirty Dick's Dynamite Discount Den as a distributor of pornographic materials. After being tried for obscenity charges, Freedberg accepted a plea bargain to pay $600,000 and promise to never deal in sexually explicit materials again.[1]

Freedberg is currently the CEO of National Collector's Mint, a commemorative coin company, BioLogic Solutions, a cosmetic company, and Maximum Entertainment Solutions, an entertainment investment firm.

National Collector's Mint has gained both fame and infamy largely due to their "Freedom Tower" commemorative coins which depict the World Trade Center towers and are claimed to contain precious metals recovered from Ground Zero itself. This claim has remained unsubstantiated and a Judge ruled NCM guilty of committing fraud, false advertising and conducting deceptive business.[2]
