Avondale (2006 Population 667) is a Canadian town located on Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

It is in Division No. 1 on Conception Bay. It had a post office, a money order office and a railway station and one church. It is a lumbering, fishing and farming settlement in Harbour Main District. It is located 37 miles from St. John's and 45 miles from Placentia. Edward Kennedy was the postmaster in 1889.
