Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a fundraising effort to support the Avon Foundation in researching a cure for breast cancer.

Participants are required to raise a minimum of $1800 for the cause and over the course of two days walk either 26.2 or 39.3 miles.

The walk was first organized in 2003, and is currently held in eight cities across the United States including Washington, DC, Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Charlotte. In 2006, over 22,000 participants raised over $42 millions of dollars.
