I'm not sure why someone is questioning the notability of this software? It's one of the top-end products from Avid, which is one of the most prominent video editing software companies in the world (if not the most prominent, I'm not sure how they compare market-wise to the competition these days). Agreed, it is a very prominent product and in widespread use. It's sort of the industry standard. Glennchan 06:59, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

That said, I would agree that it would be a good idea to add some references to the page to clarify that (e.g. awards, movies and TV shows it's been used on). Unfortunately I've never used it, so I don't know where to go to find that kind of information. Mark Grant 00:58, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
