Aviakit

Aviakit was the first brand name for the flying, motoring and motorcycle clothing manufacturer D Lewis Ltd. D Lewis Ltd began trading in 1892 as a tailor and outfitter but by the 1920s were producing protective clothing for the above-mentioned pastimes. Around 1930 D Lewis first used the name AVIAKIT (AVIAtion KIT) for its brand of aviation clothing.

D Lewis became known as Lewis Leathers in the early 1960s by which time the company was only making motorcycle clothing. The company is still in existence as of 2006.
