Avesnes is a small commune in the département of Pas-de-Calais, France. As of 1999, it numbered forty-three inhabitants. The commune forms part of the larger Canton de Hucqueliers, itself a subdivision of the Arrondissement of Montreuil-sur-Mer, in the west of the Pas-de-Calais.

It should neither be confused with Avesnes-le-Comte, seat of another canton in the Arras arrondissement of the Pas-de-Calais, nor with Avesnes-sur-Helpe, in the arrondissement of the same name in the Nord département.
