Average surface temperature

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The average surface temperature of the earth is defined as the combined temperature of near-surface air temperature over land and sea surface temperature.

Since people started keeping temperature records in the late 19th century, "the global average surface temperature has been rising at a rate of about 0.66°C per 100 years."[1]
