[edit] Plot introduction
In a poor, downtrodden Russia, a vector of future development of the world is being defined. Six Forces send their envoys, doubles of real people; they are almost the same as their prototypes. An envoy can do only that what prototype can, but unlike them, envoys believe in their own forces, and thus can change the world.
[edit] Plot summary
Six forces: Kindness, Development, Science, Power, Force and Art.
[edit] Kindness force
This world (actually, the whole action takes place in Russia and the Ukraine) lacks kindness; but the double of a female doctor would bring the kindness of medieval crusades.
[edit] Science force
Science, which can't defend itself...
[edit] Art force
Art, unable to do anything, because he imagines very well, how much blood would he spill. Like a painter Schicklgruber did...
[edit] Force and Power forces
Force and Power. An officeer and a deputy. A country, with strong army, without crime... And a mighty powerful state. Both two options seem to be awful, as memories of Soviet Union still hold. However author sympathizes double of officeer, who gets murdered by envoy of Kindness.
[edit] Development force
Prototype of Development is a kid. Development can turn a tale into reality: spaceships and progress... But the one, who lost faith in people, would not make the world better.
[edit] Last player (Dark)
And the last, seventh player is a killer, his force is Dark. Absence of any bounds and freedom to go in any direction you want. Always against all.
The one, who will survive, will set the direction of world evolution. But it seems to be, that happy end is impossible.
[edit] Awards and nominations
In 1998 the 1st Moscow SF&F Forum gave the "Sigma-F" award to the novel.
