Autoritat del Transport Metropolità (Metropolitan transport authority), shortened as ATM, regulates the fare of different transport systems in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, starting in 1997. These fare-integrated systems are: TMB buses and metro, FGC metro and suburban lines, RENFE local lines, Funicular de Montjuïc, Funicular de Vallvidrera, Trambaix, Trambesòs.

The metropolitan area is made up of 6 concentrical areas, defined by the Entitat del Transport for each of which different fares apply. [1]
