Autopista C-32 is also called the Autopista Barcelona-Massanet or the Autopista de Pau Casals. It runs along the coast north and south of Barcelona. The highway was formerly known as the Autovía A-16 but was has subsequently re-numbered C-32. It is formed from two separate parts either side of Barcelona.
The motorway's northern section runs north along the coast from Barcelona starting at Montgat at the junction of the C-31 and B-20. It passes via Badalona, Mataró and Calella towards Blanes. A toll road it eventually merges with the N-II towards Girona.
The southern section commences at the junction of the B-20, A-2 and Avinguda Diagonal. It passes close to the Airport at El Prat de Llobregat and then comprises a motorway built along the coast south from Barcelona via Castelldefels, Sitges and Villanova before merging into the AP-7 at El Vendrell. The road has tolls and features a series of tunnels such the Tunnel de Garraf and viaducts as well as views of the sea and coastal resorts.
