Autoloader (data storage device)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An Autoloader is a data storage device consisting of at least one tape drive (the drive), a method of loading tapes into the drive (the robot), and a storage area for tapes (the magazine).
Larger autoloaders with multiple drives, robots, and magazines are known as tape libraries.
Other types of autoloaders may operate with floppy disks and compact disks.
