Author! Author! (short story)

Author! Author! is a fantasy short story written by Isaac Asimov in 1943, first published in 1964 and included in his 1972 collection The Early Asimov. The story concerns a mystery writer named Graham Dorn who finds to his dismay that his most famous literary creation, a detective named Reginald de Meister, has become real.
