[edit] Worldwind satellite maps

For those of you who haven't played with Worldwind, I'm taking requests for anyone who wants maps done. I'll probably stick to just generating the maps (non-annotated for now). Geographical features would be an ideal use for these, as most areas of the world terrain-mapped. Yes, these are created with an open source program (provided by NASA) and free, public domain data (provided by NASA Landset/USGS). -- Chuq 06:56, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Note that the example of Melbourne at the right - it zooms in way further than this too!

Requests (I've included the ones I plan on doing - feel free to add more):

Can you get a good one of the area of the Snowy Mountains Scheme? --Robert Merkel 07:56, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Done. Not knowing the area very well, I wasn't sure of the best angle or range to get. -- Chuq 11:16, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
If you're still making these, could you please add Shark Bay, Western Australia to you list. And the Willandra Lakes Region, there's a map here for your reference [1] Thanks--nixie 10:17, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)
