[edit] Billy wright

Howdy! You asked why the article about Billy Wright was deleted, please read WP:BIO to see the criteria needed for articles about folks. Wikipedia isn't an indiscriminate collection of knowledge, so we have some minimum standards of asserted notability. The specific criteria applied was WP:CSD Articles, subsection 7. [edit] William "Billy" Wright (poet)

A tag has been placed on William "Billy" Wright (poet), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Darkspots 17:55, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Hello Auspiciousdays, you have once again re-created the article Billy Wright (american poet), and you also removed the deletion tag from the identical article William "Billy" Wright (poet). To start with, even very well-known people do not get more than one article; there should not be two identical articles about the same person. Secondly, the "remove" tag specifically asks the author of an article not to remove that tag.

Instead of repeatedly creating the same two identical articles, plus links from William Wright and Billy Wright, it would be better if you put some time into creating an article with verifiable content. From the stubs you have created there is no way to verify that the person is actually a poet who is sufficiently notable for a Wikipedia article.

While I have been writing this, somebody else has nominated at least one of the articles if not both for speedy deletion again; it would be a good idea if you were to take a moment to try and understand the notability requirements and the need for verifiability before re-creating it, lest your persistance gets you blocked from editing.
