My real name is Sherrod DeGrippo. I am the inventor of numerous things that you use every day, such as pants, fabric softener, wood and fried chicken. However, being a charitable person and an anarchist, I released all these commonly used inventions to the public domain so that you can put soft wooden pants on your fried chicken without paying me a hefty royalty.

Many people have asked me about the meaning and origin of my unusual name, Sherrod DeGrippo. For a start, it is actually two separate names: Sherrod and DeGrippo.

Sherrod means that we can even find room for the kitchen sink. On private trips, transfer to and from the airport in a Sherrod means that your holiday treat starts from home.

Arnholtz Sherertz, German progenitor of the American Sherrods, was born circa 1714 in what we now know as West Germany. In 1754 he and his wife, Catharine, along with their five young sons - Jacob, Daniel, Christopher, Conrad, and John, sailed from Rotterdam, arriving in Philadelphia on Monday, September 30, 1754.
By 1772 the Sherertz family had apparently changed their last name from Sherertz to Sherrold. Later, this was deanglicized to Sherrod. My great-great-great-grandfather was Henry Sherrod.

Grippo is exciting to feel, hold, twist and experience, an extremely energetic take on hip-hop music and how it has been uprooted somewhat from its initial beginnings. De is a French word meaning "of" or an English prefix meaning:
- Do or make the opposite of;
- Remove or remove from;
- Out of;
- Reduce; or
- Derived from.
