[edit] links in template
How were the languages to be linked in this template selected? There appear to be a lot of Aboriginal languages missing. For eaxample Kaurna language and Pitjantjatjara language. I'd add them, but I don't understand the classification system. --Scott Davis Talk 12:52, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- Auslan is also missing. --Scott Davis Talk 12:55, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- It only shows the Aboriginal language families not individual languages (except the language isolates, which are shown separately). I based it on the classification system shown on Australian Aboriginal languages, however my knowledge of the subject is limited so if you have any modifications feel free. I've added Auslan. +Hexagon1 (t) 01:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. My knowledge is so limited I would not have attempted this template. Both my other examples appear to be covered by Southwest Pama-Nyungan languages, which is in turn covered by Pama-Nyungan languages in your template. This language group seems to extend from Cape York Peninsula and Arnhem Land down through central Australia to Adelaide, at least. --Scott Davis Talk 13:31, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
