Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007

Austria selected their participants for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with an internal selection. ORF was searching for a performance that 'appeals visually'. Eric Papilaya was announced as the representative with the official Life Ball song, "Get A Life - Get Alive". The official co-operation with Europe's largest AIDS charity event continues the historical relationship between the Austrian entry and the Life Ball.
Eric Papilaya is a 28-year-old singer that comes from Laakirchen. He s most notable for being a finalist of the 3rd season of the Austrian talent show Starmania.
Austria will compete in the semi-final of the contest on 10 May 2007. Eric will perform in the 27th position, following Turkey's Kenan Doğulu with "Shake It Up Shekerim" and preceding Latvia's Bonaparti.lv with "Questa Notte".
