The Australian cricket team toured Pakistan in the 1982-83 season. The teams played three 5 day tests and 3 ODIs.

Pakistan won the test series 3-0, winning the first and third test by 9 wickets, and the second test by an innings and 3 runs.
The first test was played at the National Stadium in Karachi on September 22 1982. The second test was played at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on September 30 1982. The third test was played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on October 14 1982.
Mansoor Akhtar and Zaheer Abbas scored 111 and 126 respectively in the second test for Pakistan, while Greg Ritchie scored 106. Mohsin Khan and Javed Miandad scored 135 and 138 respectively in the third test.
Abdul Qadir was the leading wicket taker of the series with 22 dismissals.

Pakistan one the ODI series 2-0, winning by 59 and 28 runs in the first and second match. There was no result for the third match.
The first one day was played at the Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad on September 20 1982. The second one day was played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on October 8 1982. The third one day was played at the National Stadium in Karachi on October 22 1982.
Mohsin Khan scored 104 for Pakistan in the first match and Zaheer Abbas scored 109 in the second match.

Australia also played three 3-day first class tour matches against BCCP Patron's XI at the Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi on September 12 1982, BCCP XI at the Ibn-e-Qasim Bagh Stadium in Multan on September 16 1982 and against Pakistan Invitation XI at the Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot on October 10 1982.
Australia won the first two matches and drew the last.
