Also seen on the List of highest awards in Scouting This prestigious award can be attained by Australian Scouts around 14 years of age, and can be compared to the Queen's Scout award for older australian scouts. The Australian Scout Medallion is the highest award a person in the scout section can earn. To earn the medallion, the scout must complete the Adventurer Level Cord, including organising a 2 night, 20 km hike and at least 10 hours of community service. The scout must also be of good character, have attended a scout leadership course and undertake a leadership project, and a report on this. The scout will then be presented a certificate by the Governor of their state.
