Australian Parkour Association

The Australian Parkour Association Inc. (APA) is a Nationally recognised not-for-profit organisation whos aim is to develop Parkour as a discipline in Australia. Registered and launched in June 2006, the APA founding committe is comprised of some of the most experienced and skilled traceurs in their respective states, who felt the mutual need to guide the growth of Parkour in Australia to avoid a dilution of the discipline's philosphy and spirit.
Key among the APA's initial goals were to :
Provide liability cover for those individuals recognised as capable instructors to organise training sessions; Provide a controlled and safe environment to properly introduce newcomers to the discipline; Positively represent Parkour to the Australian public, and Australian Parkour to the rest of the world; Uphold Parkour's altruistic message within the association, and trasmit it to newcomers; Provide access to quality information on Parkour to anyone who is interested, facilitating a good Parkour education;
The APA has begun working with disadvantaged children and school programs, and is currently running workshop-style classes in NSW, VIC and QLD.
