Australian Film Commission
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Australian Film Commission is a government agency established in 1975 as the Australian Film Development Commission. The mandate of the body is to promote the creation and distribution of films in Australia as well as to preserve the country's film history. The AFC has offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.[1]
The AFC is funded in part by the national government and in part from its return on investments in film production as well as interest on film development loans. It financially assists film and television production and also produces some of its own production.[2]
