The name 3rd Division has been used for two different units of the Australian Army.
- In 1916, a 3rd Division was formed as part of the First Australian Imperial Force. When World War I ended the division was demobilised. See: Australian 3rd Division (World War I).
- In 1921, the 3rd Division name was revived and was assigned to an Australian Citizens Military Forces (reserve) unit, which served in the South West Pacific Area during World War II. See: Australian 3rd Division (World War II).
