Stephen F. Austin High School is a secondary school located in Sugar Land, Texas.

Austin, as it is commonly called, serves grades 9 through 12, and is a part of the Fort Bend Independent School District.

The school is named after Stephen F. Austin, who helped lead the Anglo American colonization of Texas, and many regard as "The Father of Texas." The school happens to be only miles from Austin's original colony in present day Fort Bend County.

The School is located at 3434 Pheasant Creek Drive, Sugar Land, TX 77478

Some areas of Sugar Land as well as the eastern portion of the community of New Territory are zoned to Austin.

Austin is known for it's Theatre program, most notably for their musicals, which are put on during the winter.. This past year Austin's musical was Annie. Austin's most "famous" musical is probably Fiddler on the Roof, which was put on in the 03-04 school year.

Austin's theatre troupe is Troupe 5448. Memebers of Troupe 5448 are going to Scotland for a competition during the summer.

Austin is also known for it's music department. Austin's band performed in the movie Friday Night Lights. The orchestra has played in Carnegie Hall and was recently (Spring 2007) invited to Austria to play as well.

Feeder elementary schools include Brazos Bend, Drabek, Arizona Fleming, Lakeview, Oakland, Oyster Creek, Walker Station.

Garcia Middle School and Sartartia Middle School feed into Austin.
