Aussie Mite is/was a dark brown, salty food paste spread made from yeast extract.

It was created by Liam 'O' Farrell[citation needed], who felt that Vegemite was no longer an Australian product, the site itself saying that Vegemite has been American owned since 1935[1], so he created an all-Australian spread to compete against it.

The Aussie Mite project was accepted by All Natural Foods and was made in 1994.

It existed until at least 2005, as evidenced by the website's copyright year.
