Auschwitz Protocol

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Auschwitz Protocol was a document compiled in 1944 by Alfred Wetzler and Rudolf Vrba which details a plan by the German Nazi Government to exterminate the Jewry of Hungary, it was based on the collective information provided by four escapees of the Auschwitz concentration camp. By writing the protocols, the authors hoped it would be possible for external organisations and governments to stop the Hungarian Jews from being transported to the concentration camps.

This document is also known as "The Vrba/Weltzer Report".

The report was sent to The Vatican, The British Legation and the United States Intelligence Department.
