[edit] Copyright concerns

Apparently our standard blurb text (written by me) is reprinted (with our permission) here [1] and this has caused red flags to come up as a copyright violation.

I am the Curator of the Aurora Regional Fire Museum, the original author of this text, and also the museum's webmaster. You will find most of this same text printed on our website at -- http://www.auroraregionalfiremuseum.org/new/faqs.htm and also at http://www.auroraregionalfiremuseum.org/museum/index.htm

As author/copyright holder I freely grant GNU Free Documentation License for this material.

  • Thanks for the clarification, but this will still need to be re-written in a more encyclopedic format per WP:STYLE. I will, however, remove the copyvio notice. I will help work on this article when I get a chance, but I'm swamped with other things for the rest of the week. I have added the "tone" and "cleanup" tags, which might signal other editors to come help as well. Thank you for adding your museum to Wikipedia. --Czj 09:23, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
