Auron is the name of two fictional DC Comics superheroes.

[edit] Auron in Superman

Auron appeared in Legacy of Superman #1 and was made in order to retrieve a D.N.A. disc of Superman's body. After Paul Westfield had stolen Superman's body for experimentation, he needed the disc in order to create an army of super-soldiers. Auron, a clone of Jim Harper like the Guardian except with enhanced solar powered indestructible alloy armor and a jetpack, was ordered to retrieve the disc from other Cadmus members such as the Newsboy Legion, Dubbilex and the Guardian. Auron's telepathy with Guardian let him regard the issue with care in the end. He left into space without destroying the disc. Later Auron confronted Superman in space near a Virago Cruiser to team up against Massacre, after a harsh confrontation in which he believed Superman was still dead. In the end Auron was hit by Massacre's energy blast and was buried by request on an isolated planet.
