Aurescens (Siberian elm cultivar)

The Siberian Elm U. pumila cultivar Aurescens is a rare variety first mentioned by Dieck in Neuheiten-Offerten, Nat. - Arb. Zoschen, Germany, 1894-95, as U. pinnato-ramosa f. aurescens. Described as having yellowish leaves on emergent shoots, it originated in the National Arboretum, Zoschen, near Merseburg, Germany. A specimen grows in a private garden in Seaford, East Sussex, UK.
