Justification: C applies to "Artistic works", and this is painting made in 1847. PD is enacted if "the creator died before January 1, 1955". Although the author's date of death is unknown, the painting appears to be from someone at least 20-or-so years of age, presumably. That means that, for the creator to live past January 1, 1955 he would have had to have been at least 127 years of age (presuming he is 20 when he paints the 1847 picture, as mentioned before). On the balance of probability, this is extreme unlikely.
