Augusto Pestana is a Brazilian city in the State of Rio Grande do Sul. It is located at latitude 28º31'01" South and longitude 53º59'32" West. It is located 411 km west of the state capital of Porto Alegre, northeast of Alegrete and east of Argentina.

It was named after Augusto Pestana (1868-1934), a Brazilian engineer and politician.
