August Burns Red is a Christian technical metalcore group from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The band formed in March of 2003 and quickly started playing shows around Lancaster. In 2004, the band was signed to CI Records and released an EP called Looks Fragile After All. After about another year of playing shows, the band was signed to Solid State Records in 2005 and released Thrill Seeker on November 8th of that year. Having completed recording their upcoming album, "Messengers", they are currently on their first tour as headliners. From March 16-May 5 they will be touring the United States and Canada with Chasing Victory and Arise and Ruin. Messengers will be released on June 19, 2007.

August Burns Red has toured with bands such as cassius, too pure to die, The Chariot, Ringworm, Demiricous, Ligeia, Terror, Bury Your Dead, Scars of Tomorrow, Sinai Beach, Nodes of Ranvier, The Showdown, Project 86, Haste the Day, Between the Buried and Me, Chiodos, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Zao, Demon Hunter, Spoken, Destroy the Runner, Inhale Exhale, Twelve Gauge Valentine, and Becoming the Archetype.
