Aughrim, County Galway

Aughrim (Irish: Eachroim, or "horse ridge") is a small village in County Galway, Republic of Ireland. It is located in the midlands of Ireland, between the towns of Loughrea and Ballinasloe, along the N6 national primary road that connects Galway and Dublin.

Its place in history is assured as it was here that the Battle of Aughrim during the Williamite war in Ireland was fought on 12 July 1691.

According to the Irish census of 2002, the village had a population of 546.
