Possible Erratum The proposed change would be consistent with my understanding of the orbital sequence table and would be consistent with the summary formula presented in the paragraph. change from: back to the s-block again for potassium and calcium (4s1, 4s2), and finally to the d-block for scandium (4d1). change to: back to the s-block again for potassium and calcium (4s1, 4s2), and finally to the d-block for scandium (3d1).
