Talk:Audax (cycling)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
... old stuff deleted... We can, as I am attempting, to stipulate that there is confusion over the use of the term and that in the confused use of the term it does most definitly use a card...

- The "true audax" style seems to well in the minority of activity these days, but it does rate a mention.
- The approach I propose is to:
- make randonneur the main article, with the history (including much of the content from Audax (cycling) and Brevet (cycling)
- simplify Audax (cycling) so that it is more like a definition, with competing uses (audax vs allure libre) in different countries
- simplify Brevet (cycling) so that it just focuses on the brevet card
Do you think this will work/ Peter Campbell 11:28, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Peter, for some reason the comments I made here were deleted... Not sure what happened. Anyway I thought about this a bit and think:
- Randonneuring is the main article
- Audax is doing pretty good though...
- allure libre needs just a tad more info on how that form got started
- brevet needs to be thinned but not to just the card but in a way simmilar to your edits for audax because in the states we use the term brevet to mean allure libre in exactly the same way you aussies and the brits use audax. :)
