[edit] Comment from SlowJog about the "American Democracy Project"

As far as I can tell, the link to "American Democracy Project" in "Film Your Issue" does NOT point to the right place. The article on the ADP on Wikipedia is about a smaller organization.

I hope someone will create an article about the ADP active on college campuses. In preparation, I renamed the existing article.

Someone created a new article about the ADP. So, the link in "Film Your Issue" might now be correct. SlowJog 01:09, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Cool. I'm glad such an article was created. It looks like the right one for FYI. I might google for some sources a bit later to add. AubreyEllenShomo 22:34, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Peter Horan

Message received. Since it's already tagged, and there's still no significant assertion of notability, I suggest waiting for an admin to take care of it. If the administrator does not speedily delete it, then further action like taking it to AfD would be appropriate. Thanks, and have a good day! Mr Spunky Toffee 00:31, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Warnings posted to User talk:205.121.132.251

Hi, I just posted a warning to User talk:205.121.132.251, and it took me a minute to sort it all out. It looks like you added new warnings to the top of the page on October 18th, then added a section head ("Earlier issues with this IP") for the previous stuff. I can see that you did this very early in your time on Wikipedia, so you've probably already realized that we never do this. Warnings on talk pages always stay in chronological order, otherwise it's impossible for the next person (or bot) who comes along to sort out what warning level to apply. I've put the page back into chronological order. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 16:46, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Sorry. My bad. That was actually the first IP I reported to AIV, and one of the earliest vandalism warnings I issued. I am aware that I messed up the talk page by reverse-chronological ordering it. I don't think I did that to any other pages, and I am aware now to always warn at the bottom. Thanks. AubreyEllenShomo 19:39, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

No worries, I noticed that it was one of your earliest edits. I just wanted to make sure you knew about the convention of always adding new comments on the bottom. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 19:45, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re: WP:AIV

I apologize for removing your report. It was an accident and unintentional. I will be more careful in the future. Thanks.  E. Sn0 =31337Talk 21:20, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

No worries. I had assumed as much. Thanks for the note, though. AubreyEllenShomo 21:22, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Always a good idea to allay fears. I see my talk page notices are getting around. I like your userboxen too, I borrowed the 'user selfeducated2(f/m)' one and chose the appropriate gender. Nice to meet you! :D  E. Sn0 =31337Talk 21:25, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
So you're the original creator of the talk page notices. Thanks for them. Nice to meet you, also! AubreyEllenShomo 21:30, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Actually I think the 'User makes mistakes on RC Patrol please don't rip my head off for my legit revert or edit' one was made by User:Patstuart. The 'don't bridge convos across talk pages' was User:Kbdank71's, and the other two are generics I found lying around. So no, I really didn't make them, and I apologize for implying I did. :)  E. Sn0 =31337Talk 21:34, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Hehe. It's all good. I didn't make the self-educated userbox, but I use it. I did make four of them (the ones in my user space), but I'm all for ripping off useful stuff from others. It is the GNU Free Documentation License, after all.  :) AubreyEllenShomo 21:52, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your "spoiler fixes" of the Conan stories

As your spoiler fixes to the Conan stories ruin the page formatting for each article, please undo them. Your fixes ruin the article format with a giant line across the images. Again, as this does not improve the articles, please undo the changes. --Flask 02:23, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Is that a warning? (It sounds like one.) I must protest if it is a warning, as I cannot see what you're talking about. What browser are you using? I fixed the spoiler warnings to improve the articles, as the ones that were there categorized the pages they were in as spoiler templates (which, of course, they're not). They also had a broken div tag, with a close but no open. The article needed improvement on those two points, which is exactly what I did. I don't see the lines you refer to on Firefox or IE on windows. I will see if there are templates without lines, and replace with those. If not, I'll make such templates. I just can't tell if I've fixed the problem you see, as I can't see it. AubreyEllenShomo 02:30, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
  • There. I created a new template and removed the spoiler div from it, so it displays without the lines. That template is {{Spoiler-nolines}}. I'm always happy to help other users out. You may want to report the problem you're having with your browser and the {{Spoiler}} template to WP:HELP. There isn't anything I can do to fix your display issue. AubreyEllenShomo 02:42, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Thank you very, very much for creating the {{Spoiler-nolines}} template. That seems to fix the problem perfectly. --Flask 11:01, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] American Democracy Project ?

I'm concerned that someone might remove the article on American Democracy Project (ADP) because of plagerism. The wording of the ADP article substanially resembles the page on ADP's website (as of early November or late October.) However, this was posted by someone at ADP, so it was done with permission. How is this handled?

Put it in a block quote? Add a note that it was copied with permission? How would this affect future editing?

[edit] Hi

Hi! I noticed your userbox over there said that you have published work. I was wondering, what was this work? Thanks! .V. 04:52, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
