I'm sorry but I think that this article needs to be re-started. I can do that later (as in days perhaps longer) based on source material such as Stryer section 14.1.4.: Structural Basis of the High Phosphoryl Transfer Potential of ATP and surrounding sections, as well as disease related references such as PMID 15282179. If anyone else would like to tackle this, be my guest. I'll not put a message on the page as ... the desire to contribute from recently acquired knowledge is excellent.
