[edit] Game A

Gameplay in the first mode (labelled Game A) is similar to other games in the series, with a few differences. Powerups, which are usually gained in each level and carried over from one to the next, could also be bought from a store by using GP, which is collected depending on how much time it takes to complete a level and how many blocks are destroyed. At the beginning of each area, the player decides which powerups to use to complete the rounds. Another difference is that the linear gameplay of the original, with the player advancing levels after completing each one, was changed to implement a world map with nine locations. Areas besides My Town each have a set number of rounds that have to be completed to finish the area. These areas are:

  • My Town, where the powerup store is located. Items sold from the beginning of the game are the Elixir, which costs 100 GP and is used in levels to revive the character when it dies, Bomb Up, which costs 50 GP and allows Bomberman to drop one more Bomb than before, and Fire Up, which also costs 50 GP and causes explosions to lengthen by one square.
  • Jagoraz, a forested area with six rounds. The special power up here is the Timer
  • Grad, a mountain area with "warp caves" used to travel through the level and seven rounds
  • Faria, with ten rounds
  • Wather, with nine rounds
  • Cuolece, with eight rounds
  • Windria, with nine rounds
  • Thulia, with six rounds
  • Hevol, with five rounds

Once a level is beaten, that level's special powerup is then unlocked in the My Town store.

[edit] Game B

The second game mode is the same as that in the original Bomberman game.

[edit] Vs. Mode

There are two games in Vs. Mode: Panel Mode and Powerful Mode.

[edit] Song

Unrelated to the game, The Atomic Punk is also the name of a song taken from Hard Rock band Van Halen's debut album. A Van Halen tribute band also takes this name, calling themselves, the Atomic Punks. They are known primarily for near-perfect imitations of Van Halen, from the music to the very look of each bandmate.
