[edit] sorry
sorry to burst your bubble but Ashley Holloway did attend Atlee and she is an adult film actress under the name Carmella.
To the user with IP 24.131.6.59 Your personal assault "Jason Walsh is a nobody and always will be. Sorry." Will not be tolerated again, if you proceed to make them you will be reported and seeing as you are on last call anyway it probably wouldn't be too good for you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 199.111.76.131 (talk • contribs).
I think that requesting a protect for this page/ ban that IP would be a good idea. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fluke (talk • contribs).
- Or maybe we should just ban those who keep adding in a non-notable person? Jason Walsh is non-notable. He's a college radio personality. He gets 11 Google hits for his name plus WMWC and 10 of them are for a student website at the college and the other is a mirror of this page. The actions of the IP user were a little harsh, yes, but the bottom line is, Walsh doesn't belong in here. Metros232 16:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Jason Walsh isn't necessarily notable by Wikipedia standards, but he is reputable - I do believe he posted the original information about Ashley Holloway/Carmella, which is accurate. She is a Bangbros actress now, this has been confirmed by several of her close friends and (I believe) a family member. How else is this supposed to be sourced? Bangbros is a closed website (I don't have an account, at least), and they don't publicly announce their actresses' names that I know of, I assume for privacy purposes. - She's not necessarily notable though. She's appeared in a few porn films...is that notable? Not really. Metros232 04:53, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- She was the talk of the town when the first video was released... :) If she had starred in any other low-budget film, wouldn't she thus be equally as notable (or non-notable)? Wiki's guidelines for notability seem to lean towards her being notable - Bangbros is a fairly well-recognized pornography label, and there is no discrimination on the subject matter of the "published work" in which she stars. She's also been in at least two videos, satisfying the "multiple" aspect for non-substantial pieces (I agree, porn isn't necessarily substantial, but it's there - estimates I've seen place something like 1/3 of all internet traffic as pornography). She isn't the one publishing these videos, and they aren't autobiographical. The only hangup is on reliability, really, since Bangbros doesn't publish its actresses' names, and you can't really find her without an account there anyway. Devmage 05:16, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- As a follow-up, I looked into the website, and found the two "teaser" pages where Holloway/Carmella is featured. As I said, there is no confirmation to be had on them that they are, in fact, the same person - all that exists is the confirmation from people that know her. I would include links, but somehow I feel like direct-linking to the subpages of a porn site would be out of character for Wikipedia... Devmage 05:26, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ha! Another interesting follow-up: I did a little more digging, and found that she is actually a Hanover HS grad, not Atlee - Metros232, if you're from the area, you'll understand the confusion. Her MySpace says this, at least [1]. She adopted the acting name "Carmella Crush" as well. A handful of porn star databases state that Carmella Crush comes from Mechanicsville, where some list her current residence as being in Florida - this website (sexually explicit) [2] links the actress back to Mechanicsville. You were right, this shouldn't be with Atlee's page, but rather with the page for Hanover High School (Mechanicsville, Virginia). Devmage 07:13, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] proof
Please provide proof that Jason Walsh is a notable alumni. Otherwise I will continue to delete his name because indeed he is a "nobody". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.131.6.59 (talk • contribs) 22:49, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
