[edit] 1.0 Collaboration of the Week
Hi, I noticed you signed up as a member of the Wikipedia:Version_1.0_Editorial_Team, which is looking to identify quality articles in Wikipedia for future publication on CD or paper. Recently, a 1.0 Collaboration of the Week was created to work on essential topics that are in need of improvement, which will ultimately go in a release version of Wikipedia. You can help by voting, contributing to an article, or simply making a comment. Thank you for your support. :) Gflores Talk 07:59, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Darren Shan WikiProject
Hi, I noticed you both started and shut down the WikiProject on Darren Shan because he didn't approve of it. Was this of the article as a whole or the project, since I wrote the original article (for my sins - it was terrible) and had planned to help with this project? As a long-term DS fan and contributor to his boards, I'm not aware of any objection he had before now. Any clarification/quotes from DS would help a lot here. Many thanks. -Sir Ophiuchus 11:02, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, seeing as the project did not have many supporters (apparently), I e-mailed Darren asking if he could tell people about it using his website. I thought that he would be enthusiastic about it, but he sent me back an e-mail talking about how he doesn't approve of Wikipedia articles about his books because he feels that they give away too much plot information. So I decided that, based on that, I should shut the project down. -AtionSong 14:54, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Version 1.0 "Release Version Qualifying"
Hi, I'm interested in your feedback on Wikipedia talk:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Release Version Qualifying. It's essentially an idea to use a process similar to WP:FAC to identify and handle articles and lists that would go in a release version. Maurreen 19:41, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WP 1.0
I thought since you are interested in this project you might be interested to see a CD version of en now exists see Wikipedia:Wikipedia-CD/Download & 2006 WP CD Selection. This is being discussed on the 1.0 project pages but progress breeds enthusiasm so I thought I would let you know. --BozMo talk 09:12, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 1.0 category vote -- minor edit
Hi AtionSong, on the 1.0 main talk page, I edited a word in one category label (language-->communication) per the last version mentioned on the core topics talk page. You and Martin already voted on that. If you disagree, I don't know what the step to revise is. I leave that up to you and Martin and whomever. Revert I guess.
By the way, I posted some ideas about expert review on the release version subpage and then I copied your passage from the main talk page about 3 step review there. Seemed to fit there too. I won't be working much on 1.0 for a few months. Perhaps sometime we can chat about ideas about expert review processes. Take it easy, --Vir 19:20, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pokémanics anon
If you are interested in Pokémon articles, you may like to join the Pokémon Collaborative Project, a group of editors who work together to improve Pokémon articles. You can help with our current collaborations (which are Pokémon and Marshtomp) and find out more information on editing articles, as well as discuss Poké-related information. We hope to see you there! Highway Rainbow Sneakers 20:29, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Backmasking
Thanks for adding that detail, but please:
Remember to mark your edits as minor only when they genuinely are (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). "The rule of thumb is that an edit of a page that is spelling corrections, formatting, and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'."

[edit] WP:PCP
Welcome to the Pokémon Collaborative Project, we hope you have a fab time editing Pokémon articles. If you have any questions about the articles, style, content or simply what our favourite Pokémon is (it varies, trust us) leave a message on the project talk page. Cheers and happy editing, The Raven's Apprentice (Call) 15:51, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Musicals
Hi! I'm leaving you this message because your name is listed as a participant in WikiProject Musicals (previously WikiProject Broadway) or I feel you may be interested in the project. It seems that the project has laid dormant for quite awhile, but I would like to work toward getting it up and operative. I have a few ideas that I've outlined on the talk page, and would love your input. Working together, I think we can signifigantly improve the quality of the articles relating to musicals on Wikipedia. — MusicMaker 06:17, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Longest Poem
You really think you can get 1.8 million words? How many subpages would you need? bibliomaniac15 21:26, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Darren Shan Spoilers
Hey, List Of Characters From The Saga Of Darren Shan is my artical. Keep the spoilers up. That's why I put a warning. BECAUSE THER WOULD BE SPOLIERS!!!
[edit] Did Darren say that?
Did Darren say that? Harkat is a main character. They spent all of the Lake Of Souls tring to find out who he was. And The Vampire Prince was mainly about Kurda so I think he should have an artical.
[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Darren Shan
I note that the project listed above has a tag on it saying that you were "shutting it down". I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I have nominated it for deletion on that basis, as well as its inactivity since that date. If I'm wrong, please respond to that effect on the discussion page. Thanks. Badbilltucker 23:15, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's fine if you shut it down. Thanks for checking in with me first. -AtionSong 23:20, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Congrats!
[edit] /World's Longest Poem nominated for deletion at MfD
Hi, just wanted to let you know that I nominated your user subpage /World's Longest Poem for deletion at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:AtionSong/World's Longest Poem. Nothing personal, it's just not something that belongs here. —Doug Bell talk•contrib 00:49, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] MfD Nom
Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:AtionSong/World's Longest Poem (second nomination). — Whedonette (ping) 20:44, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hello, I'm part of Wikiversity's garbage detail, and I think the "World's Longest Poem" would be a good learning project for people at Wikiversity. If it is sucessful, it could also bring some publisity. As it might get deleted over here, I sugest that you could move it to Wikiversity's site. I'll talk to people over their to see where it might go. What do you think?--Rayc 04:01, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- AtionSong, I would personally recommend this. Really, the page is violating many policies, and Whedonette's argument is strong. If you don't want to see the poem go for good, this might be your best option. Yuser31415@? 22:24, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think we're on the losing side here. You may want to save the text on your computer before it gets destroyed for ever. Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 22:25, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding the World's Longest Poem
Hi, AtionSong, would you agree to moving the said poem to the sandbox? That way, we could get a larger scope of contributors, and we could possibly avoid the deletionists hounding us. bibliomaniac15 01:56, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Done. Probably for the better. -AtionSong 22:29, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Man, they overhauled the whole page and changed pretty much everything. bibliomaniac15 04:14, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] I wouldn't happen to know you in rl, would I?
Sorry if I don't, but I think a friend of mine has a similar user name. -- Chris is me 03:25, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah Chris, it's Aaron. Good to hear you're coming back this summer. -AtionSong 00:58, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Holy crap! I'll be there next summer. I'm guessing you'll be back also? -- Chris is me 21:21, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- (unrelated) will you still be doing a KTIM podcast? -- Chris is me 21:43, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- I dunno. I sort of have this problem. See, I'm an idea person, but usually I don't actually do anything. So, probably, no. Sorry. -AtionSong 22:37, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Thanks
You are very welcome, kind sir. Random question: Are you a part of Unfiction? --Quadraxis 20:22, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah. Under the same username. -AtionSong 20:30, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Duke Nukem Forever
I made some improvements to the "Plot" section after you failed the GA nomination. I'm really at a loss for coming up for a better structure - can you give any further suggestions in this area? Hbdragon88 01:32, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks for the Welcome
Hi, AtionSong. I wanted to say thanks for welcoming me a while ago. Also, sorry about accidentily deleting a huge chunk of the World's Longest Poem; It was one of my first edits ever, and I really don't know what went wrong. I think that that's a really cool project; you definately deserved the Barnstar. Thanks again. FerralMoonrender 00:24, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
