Title page of Josep Romaguera's 1681 Atheneo de grandesa reproduced in the 1980 facsimile (Barcelona: Lletra menuda, 1980). Author: Unknown Artist This facsimile is copyrighted but I am utilizing this image scanned from it under Fair Use following Bridgeman Art Library vs. Corel Corp.

  1. My inclusion of this image if anything makes the facsimile made by Lletra menuda even more valuable.
  2. I also believe that it is necessary to make this image available because only 500 copies of the facsimile were printed, only two of which are available in US libraries, and thus no other copy could possibly be obtained.
  3. Moreover, copies of the original text are in such a state as to make it impossible to copy or scan safely.
  4. This image does not allow anyone to copy and redistribute the complete text of the Atheneo.
  5. This image is only being used for informational and educational purposes.
