Bold textAthlone Community College Athlone Community College is a mixed gender school in the large town of Athlone in the Midlands of Ireland. It provides an excellent education with nearly 900 students and over 70 teachers.

95% of Leaving Certificate students in 2005 went on to third level education with 89.57% going to University. This percentage in 2006 was up to 92%.

With Aloysious(boys school),Our Lady's Bower(girls school), The Marist(boys school) and Summerhill(girls school), The community College, Formerly the 'Tech' is still the school with the most enrollments each year.

Development has started on a new school for the community College hopefully opening in 2009 costing €15,000,000 which will be three stories high ang then the largest school in Ireland.
