Talk:Asynchronous server query
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I know I'm not alone in thinking that Ajax is too much of a buzzword for this particular set of technologies, so this page is up. ASQ is supposed to be a completely generic term - not one 'invented' by anyone or any company (cough cough). ASQ could stand for asychronus server query/queries/querying. ie. you can ASQ the server something without breaking the acronym: ASQ is both the method and the process.
Perhaps ASC is better though, since that could stand for asychronus server call/calls/calling and communication, which would be even more general (esp. for persistent connections, which are on the way). Any thoughts?
- Nah, sadly, you're not alone. There are a few nuts like you who have a problem with the word AJAX. Please delete the damn ASQ page. 89.120.124.53 13:28, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
